Other Voices/Ireland’s Edge

I was invited to speak about Irish emigration and diaspora at the Other Voices/Ireland’s Edge festival in Dingle. BBC DJ Annie Mac, CNN editor Blathnaid Healy, UCC Professor Piaras Mac Éinrí, and I discussed post-crash emigration and return, being Irish in Britain after Brexit, emigrant support, and direct provision and immigration in Ireland. Other speakers at the event included Intel Vice-President and anthropologist Genevieve Bell, UCD Professor Diarmaid Ferriter, and DCU President Briain Mac Craith.
